RE: The 4th Annual Garifuna Community Forum NY 2008
Greetings Taino Brother! On Saturday, May 24, 2008, the 4th Garifuna Annual Community Forum
is coming to New York. This event will be held at one of
the best black colleges in Brooklyn, Medgar Evers College Auditorium from 9:00 am to 6:00
pm. The Forum will feature keynote speakers from The Garifuna Writers Group of LA, The Garifuna Coalition USA, The Wanaragua Dance Group from LA, The Caribbean Research
Center.
The purpose of this community forum is to bring together as many Garifuna leaders from the United States and abroad. The mission of the forum is
to unite our people and to enrich and to preserve our culture and traditions. This event will be open to the public and to
those who are concerned about the progress of our people. This open forum will welcome and address significant issues
concerning the Garinagu in general.
We would like to invite you and the Taino community to attend The 4th Annual Garifuna Community Forum
NY 2008 to hear the message from Yurumein. We want to be able to reconnect with our Taino cousins.
Would you please confirm your attendance to The 4th Annual Garifuna Community Forum NY 2008 and join
GAHFU in making this a memorable occasion. Your participation will surely enhance our endeavors to lead the Garinagu
in the right direction. Please keep in mind that no one is making any profit from this event. In addition, the
performers and dancers traveling with us from Los Angeles
are also donating their time and talent. If you have any question, please feel free to contact GAHFU, Inc. Seremein,
